5 Things to Do in Singapore

5 Things to Do in Singapore

5 Things to Do in Singapore

By Karen Tan

Singapore is a great place to play outdoors and get some sun, but it can also be a very romantic destination. If you are looking for somewhere special to enjoy with someone special, consider five romantic encounters in Singapore. They are all great for Singapore natives but visitors can plan them during their trip as well:
#1: Sunset Cruise to the Southern Islands
You can head out to the southern islands during the day and dip into the lagoons, but make sure to take the trip at night so you can watch the most spectacular sunset ever in the arms of your lover. You can also jump off the boat and enjoy a nice swim in the dark. It doesn't get any more romantic than that!
These nighttime cruises typically last about four hours, so you will have some daylight time to enjoy the islands as well. Just make sure to sit still and enjoy the unique experience when it's time to for the sunset.
#2: Couples Spa Date
There are some very luxurious spas in Singapore that will allow you to book a special date inside their facilities. You can spend a few hours showing, bathing, and just getting massaged together in silence. There is nothing more rejuvenating than a day at the spa and the only thing better is rejuvenating together at the spa.
You may have to schedule your date in advance, since the best spas have limited space. They are more private than any spas you may have visited before.
#3: Couples Artistic Photography Session
There is nothing more special then documenting your love forever. You plan to spend the rest of your lives together, so why not spend a few hours dressing up, posing for photos together, and just enjoying one another's company?
A couple's artistic photography session will last for at least a few hours, so you have more than enough time to really bond and capture the most special moments on film. There is a lot of love flowing between you, but it takes some time to allow that to come out and make it presentable to the world.
An afternoon spent taking pictures and posing together is an afternoon that you can spend completely alone, away from everyone else in the world. Forget the photographer is there. Forget about the staff. It's just you and that special someone loving one another. The pictures you get at the end of the session will be extraordinary and memorable.
#4: Couples Dance Lessons
Ballroom dancing is big in Singapore, so why not learn alongside your sweetie? If you live in Singapore you can purchase packages of lessons that last you a few months or longer. This is like planning several months of dates in advance, so you know you will be spending lots of time together.
This is the perfect idea for a couple just getting to know one another. You have your dates planned out and can spend that time falling more and more in love. If you have been together longer, then these dance lessons could really pay off when it comes time to plan the wedding.
Dance lessons can also just be a way to spend time together having fun!
#5: Hiking on St. John's Island
Head down south to St. John's Island and get lost in the trails for an afternoon. Make sure to sit down for a picnic lunch and feed one another before you head back to the mainland.
